Fortran is an easy to learn programming language for numerical problems,
which is quite common in the field of simulations and high performance
computing. This course offers an introduction to Fortran with examples and
integrated exercises, which are relevant for Astrophysics. We will examine
aspects of numerics and differences between Fortran and C/C++.
The course will be held in the computer pool 2.28.0.087.
This course is an optional part of the specialization "Computational
Astrophysics" and comprises 2V (3 CP).
Certificate of attendance:
- without mark for Master of Astrophysics, module PHY-765
regular participation (incl. integrated exercises)
